  1. Saine Repertory - New repertory for Vision!

    Posted on

Released for use with Vision on October 1st 2024 this new repertory aims to provide far more accurate repertorisation analysis by using only researched and proven repertory content.

Essentially, the Saine Repertory strips out of the Complete Repertory many of the newly proven remedies that have little to no supportive case evidence  and adds back in only additions that have been researched in our literature and been shown to be effective.

It is based on the original and beloved Complete Repertory 4.5 and so has none of the structural chapter and rubric organisation changes made to Complete over the recent years.

This repertory is available to purchase as an option for use with your Vision system and claims to improve the accuracy of your prescriptions.

  2. The new Practical Repertory

    Posted on

For many years modern repertories have continued to add more and more remedies and rubrics. This work is derived from new provings and also historical records. Dr Pravin Jain disagrees with this approach of continual enlargement and addition and prefers to only work with rubrics and remedies seen to have worked in practice.

Furthermore his way of practising works well when the remedy prescribed precisely matches the patient's disposition (or temperament). Therefore Dr Jain will only use remedies in the repertory that adhere to this fundemental principle.

This new repertory is exclusively available with the Vision software system. To learn more about Dr Jains approach please watch this video presentation:

    Complete Repertory 2018

This version includes more 20th/21st century work. Many additions have been incorporated espeically from Karl Stauffer’s Symptomen-Verzeichnis 1929, since it contains relatively many additions from smaller remedies (Aqua marina, Calcarea caustica, Vipera beris, Mephites, Natrum nitricum, Picricum acidum etc.) From this source 106.081 additions were made.

New contemporary provings include: Morpho menelaus and Sequoiadendron by Hélene Renoux, Crataegus oxyacantha by M Stoschitzky, Acherontia atropos by Evelyn Feltes & O Neuhoefer, Agaricus phalloides by Peter König & D König, Betula alba by Jörg Wichmann, Helix costa by Todd Rowe & Desert Insitute, Astacus fluviatilis by D Drach & F Swoboda.

Handwritten Repertory Additions in Kent’s Repertory by Roger Schmidt, Pierre Schmidt’s brother, who worked in San Francisco, were added.

In this edition emphasis was given to some specific remedies: Falco peregrinus, Astacus and Mandragora, in that both provings and as much cases as could be found were incorporated. This practice will continue in the next incarnations of the Complete Repertory when this is consdiered worthwhile for some remedies.

From Hans Eberle & Friedrich Ritzer lots of clinical confirmations were added for Eagle, Electricitas, Uranium metallicum and Aqua Hochstein.

  4. Repertory of Mental Qualities

    Posted on

The Repertory of Mental Qualities, or QRep for short, is in important enhancement to every homeopath's resources.

QRep is an ideal choice whether you are starting your homeopathic training or you are an experienced practitioner. Why do I say this?

    QRep makes Repertorisation Simpler!

In many cases we see the same things over and over again.  If I were to say to you that someone is suffering from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) you would know exactly what I mean. And we see many such cases. But in the repertories (even the modern repertories) you will not find  a rubric that covers OCD. So you have to think really hard about which rubric or rubrics you are going to take to 'cover' OCD. It can get very frustrating hunting around in the repertory trying to find exactly what you need. In QRep there is a quality, OCD, that encapsulates all manifestations of the condition!

Another example might be Low self esteem. You know exactly what this means when you talk to the patient but there is no rubric in any of the repertories that encompasses all aspects of the feelings of low self esteem. Lack of self confidence might be the closest repertory rubric you can find for low self esteem but it does not really encompass all that low self esteem encapsulates. Furthermore a quick scan of materia medica and remedy provings quickly reveals remedies not actually present in the Lack of Confidence rubric!

QRep solves this dilemma by providing a Low self esteem quality for easy use!

A final example might be those people who are dragged down with a myriad of problems and issues arising out of the situation in which they are Carers for other people. Of course you can spend quite a long time looking and trying to find all the rubrics that arise from long term caring for others. However QRep solves this problem elegantly and saves you lots of time by providing a quality named Carers and Helpers!

In addition to saving you lots of time QRep also allows you to work with all the new remedies!

Many newly proven remedies are included in QRep

As you probably know many of the newly proven remedies do not appear in even the most modern of repertories such as Complete, Synthesis and Murphy. The QRep allows you to work with these new remedies because their provings have been researched by Jeremy Sherr and his team and every remedy that has relevance to the qualities has been included!

So when you repertorise with QRep you will see the newly proven remedies coming through into the analysis - ready for your consideration. No longer will the polycrests 'swamp' the analysis (due to their prevalance in the repertory rubrics) - now the new remedies are prominently displayed!

    So what exactly is QRep?

QRep is a collection of 28 mental qualities that you will use every day!  All are displayed on one screen. The recommendation from the compiler, Jeremy Sherr, is that you simply take into your repertorisation all the qualities that apply to the case. So in just a few clicks from the same screen you will have established a sound base for repertorisation and saved yourself oodles of time!

You can then either proceed to repertorise just using the qualities (and then review the remedies and make your decision from the list displayed) or you can add additional rubrics that you are totally confident in from other repertories (e.g. using solid Modalities and Physical Affinities are both reliable in practice).

However you decide to use QRep you can be confident that each and every remedy contained in all of the qualities has been meticulously researched by Jeremy and his team before inclusion. Unlike some other repertories every entry is guranteed to have been checked and to be appropriate to the quality.
